Miss Katie has been working hard to secure funding to keep child care costs for our families affordable and to improve the safety and security at Great Beginnings. We just received word that we will be receiving the Michigan Department of Education Stabilization Grant!
This grant is awarded to child care providers to help stabilize operations and support the health and safety of children and staff. These funds are available to help keep Great Beginning’s doors open without raising tuition costs. This allows us to focus on what matters most: supporting the kids and families.
This grant will allow bonuses to current teaching staff as well as hiring bonuses for new teachers! Our focus with this grant funding will be staff and child mental health services and trainings, implementing a year-round indoor garden and continuing to improve our building and natural playground.
We thank all of our families for being supportive and allowing us to continue providing the highest quality of care to your children.
Join Misty Lefebvre from Great Start to Quality – UP Resource Center to actively explore messy play! Come dressed for a mess! Follow your child’s lead as they engage with their natural curiosity and explore with paint, paper, sticks, leaves, and other items!
We also invite you to attend a virtual family education event discussing the benefits and value of children engaging in messy play on Wednesday, June 29th, at 6:30 PM ET.
